Worth at least 4 stars based on my one experience picking up takeout. The food was ready when we arrived on time. Was surprised there was not more rice with the curries but the curries were great themselves. Tried the yellow and the pumpkin. Each had its own flavor and different sweetness level to suit the dish. The yellow with potato was rather sweet. Heat levels of the dishes were on target as requested - low, medium or high. Fresh rolls with peanut sauce were good. Thai fried rice and pad see ewe also good, the latter not as salty as other places I’ve tried. Only thing missing from menu we thought was pineapple fried rice.
Despite being not very busy on a Tuesday night, the kitchen seemed to be having issues. First, they gave us the wrong appetizer (shrimp spring rolls instead of fresh rolls). The fried chicken in my wife’s chicken noodle was overcooked, and the noodles were oily. While the broth for my tom yum noodles was good, the noodles were overcooked. And by that point, I didn’t even bother to point out that they put tofu in the tom yum noodles instead of what I asked for (vegetables).Maybe the owners figured that since this is a slow week for dining (it’s move-in week at multiple schools), they’d give the “A” kitchen team a few days off and let the “B” team hone their skills. Or maybe they just had an off night. (Even Michelin-starred restaurants have bad nights.) But the reality is that with this being our first visit, and with 3 other Thai restaurants in Squirrel Hill alone, it’s probably going to be a while until we give them a second chance.
Pretty tasty but there's lots of better Thai places, even in Squirrel Hill.
Best indian/Asian food I've had in recent memory. Seriously good fresh made food and great people making and serving it.
Not the worst Thai food in Squirrel Hill, but not the best either. The food is never bad, but if you like it to be spicy you're out of luck. Today I got takeout and asked for a 9/10 spiciness level; what I got was maybe a 5.
Love the fried rice. Other dishes are also good. Definitely the best Thai food in squirrel hill. The only concern is sometimes the food comes a little bit longer than expected.
I have always been satisfied with the food at this restaurant. The curry and pad thai are great and the presentation of the food is nice. Only criticism is the meal prices are over $10. I can go somewhere else and get the same dishes for less than $10. But if you are looking for good tasty food this is it!
As a vegetarian, the options aren't a lot. But the options are still the best of Thai cuisine. Also, as a vegetarian you need to mention to them to not use fish sauce. The taste is difficult to adapt to, but the taste is great for the non-vegetarians. Also, the tea is amazing here. Do try that. The portion size for the food is a little bit on the smaller side. But nevertheless the restaurant is beautiful to be at.
One of my favorite Thai spots. Food is excellent, great variety in the menu, and no fuss. Only critiques are the slightly dodgy seating, especially the bench seats, and the food sometimes takes a little while longer than you'd like, but those are minor. Seriously underrated place that deserves more business.
Quick service, great curry and if you ask for 5 star, they deliver heat and delicious spicy goodness.
Went around 6pm on a Sunday. The service was good and the food was exceptional. I got to try the yellow curry with no spice and panang curry with normal spice levels. Both were great but I think the normal spice really brought the panang to a higher level than the yellow. I would definitely go back if I was ever in the mood for more curry.
I do like the food, but I don't love it. They have a great selection, good service and reasonable prices!
Decent food
I got the jerky and pineapple curry. It was amazing and the service was great.
My husband and I like every time we visit your restaurant!!! We have never been let down by the service, the food, the music and especially the staff/servers AND THEIR SMILES!!
Nice Thai and you don't need to wear one.
This is an awful experience. There seems to be only one server and as seen from the photo, most table have food on without being cleaned. We waited for so long to order and to pay. The server seems so busy that we are just forgotten. Food is just so so
Great curry, Pad Thai. Friendly staff. Great value
Curry was very decent. Hardly anyone thereon an early Friday evening despite the lovely interior and streetfdont windows.
One of my top spots for quality thai food. Food was so fresh. The service was very friendly and attentive. This place has great reviews for a reason.
The few times I've gone, it's been pretty good. I've mainly been ordering "safe" dishes and they've been delicious (although I could honestly do with some bigger portions) but from the sound of things on here, I should go and experiment a bit. The venue itself is very nice, and I've never had a problem service-wise. Definitely worth checking out
My favorite thing there is the Thai sausage salad. Little pricey for a salad but worth it. The curry doesn't have as much flavor as curries I do like have but I'm not sure what it's missing because I don't cook enough. Beautiful atmosphere in the summer when they open the windows.
The servers are amazing and extremely friendly. The Pumpkin Curry is so dang good! My top for Thai food in Pittsburgh! Would recommend to anyone!
Curry in Murray is closed I guess. But the big board is still there. We didn’t realize first. They gave us menu, containing 8-10 types of food only. It seemed little fishy but we ordered food anyways. The food was so bad and tasteless. We couldn’t eat even, later on inquiry, we got to know curry in Murray was closed, but they didn’t take off the big board. Yokumisu or something was it’s name, only written on the menu, which we didn’t notice first. Waste of money and time. And what a terrible food!!!!!! 1 star would be even more for whatever they served
I had been there once when it opened and had been disappointed. Totally worth another try!!! They are now amazing. The Fresh Roll is perfect. The staff is kind and thoughtful. Glad I gave it a second chance.
Great food, kinda horrible service. I need something to drink, and they don't care. Sadface.
Friendly service, fast/delicious food! You can request vegan, too.
Love this place for eat in or take out. The fresh rolls and green curry are great.
Good menu selection, comfortable atmosphere.
Service came out quickly. Food is always great and smells amazing. Would recommend.
Their curries are all excellent, I specially love the green curry here.
Good Thai! But not the street style!
Curry... not so good. Remaining ingredients were good.
The food was great but the service was not up to par. Of course we went on a Saturday night and place seemed pretty busy. We came to the restaurant and there was no one available to greet us for 3 minutes. I was not sure if we were to seat ourselves or to wait for someone because there were no indications of what to do. An attendant seated other guests that were waiting before he even acknowledged us. Of course when we were finally seated our table was wobbling, Awesome! The waiter did fix it after he gave us our drinks.I didn’t care too much for the atmosphere. The place was kind of small and the tables were close together. The patron at the table next to us kept staring at me and was probably listening intently to our conversation. Plus, on a windy cool evening having the large windows open are not optimum conditions.Overall the only positive experience was the food and the person I with.
Best Thai in town! Flavors are great, perfect amount of spicy heat, and love being able to add duck to pretty much any dish. Reasonable prices for Thai. The broccoli in my and my wife's dishes wasn't fully heated, but that's the only knock on the score. Wife will definitely be back on her lunch breaks.
Best kept secret in Squirrel Hill. Love eating at this restaurant. Extensive items on the menu to choose from, food is always great, and the atmosphere is quite trendy.
Unique and delicious food, but small portions
One of the best Thai places in town! This is my go to Thai spot.
An excellent place! The food is awesome!
This place seems to be new. It was a pleasant surprise. Pretty authentic Thai food. Definitely coming back for more.
Good food, but very inexperienced servers did not know ingredients of dishes, were unhelpful with gluten free and vegetarian options. Kitchen seemed to know what they were doing in those regards and were able to instruct the servers, but training should be provided ahead of time.
Highly recommend the cashew nut chicken!
The yellow curry is amazing! The staff is very polite and the atmosphere is nice.
Food was good but the service was atrocious. You’re better off getting it to go.
Good food, nice atmosphere. Waitress was very nice.
The curries here are awesome and the staff and ambiance were quite nice as well. Not sure what to think about the spice scale- I felt like my "low" and my fiance's "medium" were equally spicy
Delicious green curry and Thai iced tea
This is my favorite Thai place in Pittsburgh by far. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The food is consistently delicious, spice levels are spot on, with a wide variety of dishes for everyone.
